Well, we have a little wiggle worm that’s for sure. It probably had something to do with the large, unsweetened, McDonald’s ice tea I drank before the ultra sound. And in a related story I had a hard time falling asleep that night too.
The baby would not stay still, and unfortunately was facing away from the technician for almost the entire time. The Ultra sound took a good 50 minutes and we didn’t get the profile shot until about the last 5.
The technician also couldn’t get a shot of the right hand which the baby had pressed up against the side of its face, and the right foot which was pressed up against my very full bladder.
Had it been my first ultrasound I would have been terribly paranoid that something was terribly wrong since things were taking so long, and another tech came in at the end to help too. But it was obvious after having had 3 other 18 week scans this little one was just keeping it’s back to the camera.
At any rate, everything looked good, and we finally were able to get that profile shot. And we also found out it’s a……………
Emma will be here sometime in September. Needless to say my son will be greatly outnumbered, but I’m pretty sure he’ll be able to hold his own.
